Just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to my sister Jessica and her daughters who came all the way from Boston to take care of Zach while we're in the hospital. It has really taken a load off of my shoulders that I dont have to worry about him at all - I know that he's having a great time playing with his cousins and that he'll be well looked after! :)
Thank you Jessica! I love you!

Our Baby Girl is Here!!

So we found out that the reason we were behind in the surgery is because our doctor had to deliver another woman, she was pushing so we had to wait until that was done. We were finally given the go-ahead at 12:15ish. I got rolled in and they started with the anesthesia and prep... ended up getting emotional and crying while on the table before the doctor even got in the door lol. The doctor came in and James followed right behind him dressed in his blue scrubs! :) They started the procedure and Madelyn was born at 1pm exactly! She was 39 weeks and was born at 8lbs 6oz (zach was born at 41 weeks and was 8lbs 10oz!!). She's so cute and has the chunkiest little cheeks. James got to get up and watch as they weighed her, she was NOT happy by how cold it was in the room! :) They finished up the procedure and wheeled me to recovery at 1:24pm. Everything is going great so far! They're going to get me up and walking soon - which I'm NOT looking forward to. I'm not good with pain at all and the percocet doesn't do anything for me. Currently on Morphine woohoo! :)
Anyway, we are so happy! :)
11:06am
So we are still sitting here, now watching tv though- go Dog the Bounty Hunter! Dr. Brown came in at just before 10:30 dressed in normal clothes. Guess he went to his son's preschool graduation this morning so we are running behind. Not quite sure when this is going to start! I've asked twice if I can get a private room... still waiting for that answer... grr. Good news though! I can eat a couple of hours after surgery is done....................................... :p
15 minutes to a family of 4!
Should we have opted to get her tubes tied while they were in there? Only time will tell.
Kelly is ready to burst!
Stuck and now she is enjoying a tasty IV solution. SHe has already gone through a whole bag.
A half hour to go!!
I was hungry so I had a snickers. Kelly was a little hungry as well but cant eat until later on. She was very understanding about me eating her snickers.
We're awake!
Okay so we are awake and moving now. James and I are somehow the only ones awake at this point - no idea how that's possible with three crazy toddlers - but it's nice to have the quiet. I'm starving but not allowed to eat or drink anything from midnight last night. About to finish packing my bag and we should be leaving the house in about 45 mins. Cant believe today is the day! (Still thinking James is more excited than I am at this point- but then he's not having the surgery is he? lol)
